John W. Dagrin knows what a pro debut costs before the first bell rings. So when it came to deciding what Dagrin Corporation should do next in boxing, the answer was simple: back the next one.
Dagrin Corporation is now a sponsor of professional boxer Bünyamin Cikkan.
The fighter
Cikkan comes out of the Eifel and boxes at cruiserweight. Regional paper Volksfreund has already asked the question out loud: could the Eifel soon have a WBC Youth champion? That is the title he has his eye on, and it is a well-known springboard for bigger things.
It all starts with one fight. Saturday, 14 November, Stadthalle Korbach. The poster says it best: The Journey Begins. Tickets are available through psp-boxing.com.
What the sponsorship means
Alongside the support from Dagrin Corporation, JWD Productions will produce a video for Bünyamin after his pro debut, so that the night does not disappear once the lights go off. A debut only happens once, and it should be remembered properly.
Why we are doing it
Somebody took a chance on John before he had a record. Sponsors put their name behind him at 0–0, and that changed what was possible. Now the company he built gets to do the same thing for someone else.
