The poster for Lessiter Fight Night at the Capitol in Dietzenbach named David Botos as John’s opponent. When the bell rang on 9 May 2026, the man in the other corner was Marko Pavlovic, a veteran with 28 professional fights.
It changed the assignment. It did not change the outcome.
The stoppage came at 1:14 of round two, in front of a ringside dinner crowd, in the shortest fight of his career so far.
