2. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing of your personal data. You may withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in our case, Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
3. Hosting (Netlify)
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). When you visit the site, Netlify processes connection data (including your IP address) to deliver the pages and ensure security and stability. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, reliable hosting). Data transfer to the USA is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Server log files
When pages are accessed, standard technical data may be logged (browser type, operating system, referrer URL, time of access, IP address). This data is not merged with other data sources and is used solely for operating and securing the site. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Contact form & email
Our contact and notification forms are handled by Netlify Forms (Netlify, Inc.). When you submit a form, the data you enter (such as name, email, and your message) is transmitted to Netlify and forwarded to our email address so we can respond. We use your data solely to process your inquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. The transfer to the USA is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (see the Netlify DPA). 6. Appointment booking (Calendly)
We offer optional appointment booking via Calendly LLC (USA). The Calendly widget only loads after you actively click to open it — nothing is loaded from Calendly before that. If you use it, the data you enter is processed by Calendly to arrange the appointment. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent, given by clicking to load).
7. YouTube videos
Portfolio videos are embedded from YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC) in extended privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and load only after you click a video. Before you click, no connection to YouTube/Google is established and no cookies are set. Once you click, Google may process data including your IP address. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent by clicking play).
8. Fonts
We self-host all fonts on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or any third-party font CDN is made, and no font-related data is sent to third parties.
9. Local storage
We store a small preference in your browser's local storage to remember your chosen language and that you have seen the privacy notice. This is not a tracking cookie and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
10. Changes
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. The current version always applies.
